About Us
Our Mission: Building the Next Generation of Makers
At Craft Club, we believe that every child is born with the urge to create. Our club is a vibrant community hub designed to turn that natural curiosity into tangible, hand-made reality. In an increasingly digital world, we provide a dedicated space for kids to put down the screens and pick up the tools—building not just projects, but confidence.
The "Club" Philosophy
We chose the name Craft Club because we wanted to move away from the traditional "classroom" feel. Here, there are no grades and no "wrong" ways to build. Instead, we foster a maker mindset, where curiosity is a superpower.
Meet Sarah Sarmiento
Hi! I’m Sarah, and journey to founding Craft Club has been a blend of professional artistry, international education, and raising three active boys.
I grew up with many incredibly talented, creative people in my life. I learned so many skills I am thankful to have today. After university, I taught English in China, where having arts related classes is a very common part of children’s after school activities. I thought it was so neat to see kids being given so many opportunities to explore their talents and interests. Before having kids, I worked as a professional photographer, photographing countless families and more than 50 weddings.
If you’re wondering if I can handle a room full of energetic makers, the answer is a resounding yes. As a mom to three boys (ages 5, 6, and 7), I live in the world of crafts and art every single day. I know firsthand how to channel that restless energy into focused creation, and I understand exactly what parents are looking for: a safe, inspiring space where their kids can be themselves.
I can’t wait to welcome your family into the Club!
